Having recently undergone a brand refresh, Manchester Metropolitan University was looking for a way to bring its corporate brand to life. It needed to inject more energy, more flexibility and more relevance to the students it needed to reach.

Our response

Manchester Metropolitan is one of the UK’s largest universities, known for its inclusive culture and strong focus on student experience. Combining this with its location at the heart of one of the UK’s largest and most distinctive cities, it was clear from the outset that the University not only embodies a lot of what Manchester is known for, but is an active player in its vibrant, innovative and cultural scene.

By developing a bold system that would claim simultaneous ownership of their brand marque and their location, we turned their corporate brand into a fully-fledged identity that is synonymous with the attitude and essence of the city.

With a stand-out creative that resonated with internal teams and prospective students, we developed an extended visual and verbal toolkit that would flex effortlessly across channels, audiences and stages of the applicant journey, always striking the balance between brand consistency and campaign energy.
